BridgeWave Communications Closes $7M Funding Round
Santa Clara, CA - December 14, 2005 - BridgeWave Communications, the leading supplier of multi-gigabit wireless solutions, announced that it has closed a $7M Series 2 funding round, led by Cipio Partners. BridgeWave specializes in delivering very high capacity wireless links that are used to extend LANs between buildings and sites, as well as to extend the reach of network operator fiber. "BridgeWave has demonstrated that users will adopt gigabit wireless solutions as an alternative to fiber installation when the cost or time to deploy fiber is prohibitive," said Dr. Maximilian Schroeck, Managing Partner of Cipio. "BridgeWave is well positioned to capitalize on its early market lead in this rapidly emerging market space."
