Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary: Manufacturing Engineer responsible for all product management activities, including NPI, ramp up, and sustaining engineering for a specific product line.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement NPI methodology to smoothly transfer new products from design to offshore manufacturing
  • Work closely with engineering and CMs to achieve NPI goals and production ramp-up timelines
  • Write, verify and implement Change Orders (ECO/MCO), BOMs, procedures, training material, project plans and any related documentation for new and existing product lines
  • Technical authority in Operations: detailed understanding of product design and functionality, hands-on involvement in troubleshooting of complex failures to identify root cause and propose corrective action, conduct periodical trainings
  • Analyze product yields and failure causes, lead cross organization activity to increase product reliability and manufacturing yields
  • Manage First Article Evaluation (FAE): lead cross organization activity to verify and release new parts and approve suppliers
Travel: 15-25%
Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
  • 5+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Product Management
  • Proven experience in manufacturing NPI and offshore CMs management
  • Telecommunications/Wireless industry background is a must
  • Technical Knowledge in electronics, RF and Microwave is a must
  • Project/program management skills are a must
  • Independent, self motivated personality with strong communications skills and problem solving attitude
  • Knowledge of printed circuit assemblies; precision machined parts; metal die casting and sheet metals
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Basic ability to use CAD tools (AutoCAD, Solidworks) to update drawings and BOMs is an advantage
  • Proven experience with PDM systems (Agile)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and proficient with databases such as MS Access
